Today my school along with a lot of other schools in the United States began a remote learning program. I find it very pleasant to be able to sleep in until five minutes before first period. I also think that the teachers deserve a break too. My only question is WHY DO TEACHERS GIVE MORE HOMEWORK NOW THAT I AM AT HOME?! I mean I have always been kind of a nerd, so it’s fine, but Disney + is so entertaining and sleeping sounds so fun 24/7.

Additionally, some schools are trying to make an at home environment turn into the school itself. Duchesne has assembly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. That weekly event has not, nor will it change. By live streaming assembly, the idea of at home learning becomes so funny since we are pretty much all in the same virtual room. No complaints though. Well, once school canceled the Friday before spring break was about to begin, no one knew just what was in store for the weirdest week of everyone’s lives. I started out my spring break anticipating on hanging out with friends and being a silly teenager.
I started out happy—excited for new adventures in a great week where my only worry is that I needed to constantly wash my hands. Soon things took a bad turn though. Events all over were getting cancelled or rescheduled. The only event which seemed to go on was a Pat Green concert which I was very excited to attend with two of my good friends.

After my concert adventure and a huge trip to Kroger, my family was prepared for a staycation...until my siblings wished to take a trip to our ranch. I stayed in town having a mini birthday celebration since none of my friends wished to go to the ranch with me. I watched Frozen II and had a nice time staying in town. The next day, Sunday, I headed up to Ramsey Ranch, my namesake, with a friend for a day trip.

I guess spring break wasn’t a total loss, because I had the privilege of hanging out with one friend at a time, and I also read books, watched movies, cleaned my room, and got more organized. My parents suggested I start this blog to track my time as a quaran-TEEN. I hope you follow along!!
